“Needing to get some anger out over career inertia; the ego feeling hard done by,” said Jack Moves. “Pretty damn selfish, blaming a certain gatekeeper and creating a fictitious scenario where I’m holding them and the listeners hostage; a captive audience while I read off my List of Demands (“I demand lifelong inclusion…”). That I take my influences from everywhere…that I can be bold, that I can be petty. And regarding that last assertion, we all have that tendency, but what’s important is to acknowledge it and, as is the case toward the end of this song, seek change and resolution.”
