Emerging art-pop artist Jackie Castro is back with her brand new single “Gravity”, which you can stream exclusively via Aesthetic Magazine below.
A dreamy escape, Castro delivers a ambient pop tune tinged with hopeful romanticism, surrounding that moment mid-fight where we really ask ourselves, why are we fighting over something so small and inconsequential, where it really doesn’t matter who’s right or wrong, we love them regardless. With a mix of whimsical melodies, lush vocals, a balance of synths and acoustic instruments with honest lyrics, “Gravity” hooks you in deep and doesn’t let go well after the last note has played. Exposing her own heart, Castro’s lyrics shares and honest recount of her whole heart – from her deepest fears, insecurities, and regrets, to the moment of pure love, passion and acceptance.
At 24, Castro is no stranger the highs and lows of the music industry. In 2016, she made a successful debut with her family band Castro, a folk/pop trio consisting of her brothers Jason and Michael Castro. With the release of their EP, Diamond Dreams, debuting at #1 on the Singer/Songwriter Charts on iTunes and gaining over nine-million streams on Spotify.
In 2018, it was time for Castro to part ways and find her own voice. The Dallas-native moved to Nashville where she worked and developed her artistry within the pop community. In doing so, she discovered she had a story of her own to tell. Now, as a completely independent artist, Castro has taken control of her own path and launched her solo career.
