Exclusive Premiere: Stream Dan Miraldi’s New Cover of Bob Dylan’s “Standing in the Doorway”

By: Staff –

Emerging singer-songwriter Dan Miraldi is back with his new track “Standing in the Doorway”, which you can stream exclusively via Aesthetic Magazine below.

“It’s been over 10 years since my first record,” said Miraldi. “In that time, I have never officially released a cover song, until now.  I recorded this version of Bob Dylan’s “Standing in the Doorway” when I was tracking my latest EP, Mood Music For Introverts.  Like those songs, I recorded it in my apartment. It is difficult for me to concisely explain how much Dylan’s work means to me.  Whenever I am in a period of transition or trying to dig my way out some existential spiral, that is when I listen to his music the most. I was drawn to this song, because I think it has some of Dylan’s most devastatingly good lyrics.  The lyrics hit home.  It was a catharsis recording the song.  It is Dylan’s words and melody, but I feel like I found my own way to present them.”

Singer-Songwriter Dan Miraldi showcases his noteworthy new single, “Standing in the Doorway”  today for the pleasure of our ears. Based in New York, Miraldi has been making a name for himself in indie circles the past few years. This year saw the artist branch out in his sound, as he released the enchanting and stripped down album, Mood Music for Introverts. The record which has been garnering success from fans and critics alike, sees and hears Miraldi coming out of his shell, and exposing his true self.

After releasing four full-lengths and five EPs, 2020 finds the two-time John Lennon Songwriting Contest Finalist unveiling a new EP, Mood Music For Introverts. Working alone, Miraldi wrote, played and sang every note on Mood Music For Introverts. After years of songwriting, recording and DIY van tours, Dan Miraldi is a musical journeyman who can already look back on an adventure-filled career. He has shared show bills with an eclectic bunch of performers such as J. Roddy Walston & the Business, Nelly, Wiz Khalifa, the Wailers, Wild Feathers, the Trews, Wally Bryson of the Raspberries, Beatle offspring James McCartney, Family of the Year, Welshly Arms, Ari Hest, Blackalicious, the Cool Kids, Fiery Furnaces, and even Wang Chung.

“Standing in the Doorway”  is a masterpiece from start to finish as it really shows the depth of Dan Miraldi as an artist. We’re excited to hear more from the buzzworthy artist, who certainly has our attention…and for good.
