Hamilton-based indie rock band Tripper and the Wild Things are back with their new single “Juno”, which you can stream exclusively via Aesthetic Magazine below.
Tripper and the Wild Things’ brand of noisy, high energy rock is balanced by melodies that invoke their ‘90s surf rock and alternative roots, with themes of lo-fi ‘80s pop. The four-piece outfit consists of Josh Keillor on vocals and guitar, Eric Tarquinio on bass, James Puntillo on guitar, and Brian MacMahon on drums.
“The track was produced by Marco Bressette,” said the band. “The recording experience was super cool. It was our first time in the studio as a full band and Marco knew exactly the direction we wanted to go and pushed us way farther than we would have expected and we really gelled with him. It was super laid back and we just had fun with it. It was one of the first songs we wrote as a full band. The song title Juno just kind of happened and ended up tying into the whole cat theme.”
