Exclusive: Stream B.ROB’s New Curated Spotify Playlist

By: Staff –

To celebrate the release of B.ROB’s new single “Slide With Me”, the emerging hip hop artist curated a brand new curated Spotify playlist featuring songs that inspired “Slide With Me”, which you can stream below.

B.ROB prides himself in being a versatile musician with a unique sound ranging from R&B to Hip-Hop/Rap to UK Afro Swing & Dancehall. Growing up in Toronto’s east side, B.ROB quickly emerged as a top urban DJ, headlining at festivals and performing weekly residencies at some of the top clubs in the city. The last three years were spent living in London, England where he continued his success and established himself as an international DJ, fully immersing himself in the British music scene and culture.

On brand new track, “Slide With Me,” B.ROB draws inspiration from the perspective of a typical young man navigating through social events and living in a big city.

A feel good summer song about the excitement of interacting with women, sharing experiences with friends & dating.

Mase – “Feel so Good”

One of my favourite songs of all time! Definitely inspired the visuals and energy for the “Slide With Me” video with the party/fun/fish eye lens vibes. This song is a classic!

The Notorious B.I.G – “Mo Money Mo Problems (ft. Puff Daddy & Mase)”

I’m coming UP! Who’s hot, who’s not… mo money mo problems has it all from production, tempo, flow.. female vocals.. great song, definitely a bop!

Destiny’s Child  – “Independent Woman”

Destiny’s Child with the Charlie’s Angels soundtrack, this track went hard! I know this was definitely an anthem for the ladies back in the day!

112 – “Only You” (ft. The Notorious B.I.G & Mase)

I thought I told you that we won’t stop! 112 is one of my favourite R&B groups, with B.I.G & Mase – this song has the perfect balance of Rap & R&B.

Rihanna – “Wild Thoughts”

If you were in Toronto, or anywhere in the world really.. “Wild Thoughts” was one of the biggest tracks of Summer 2017. DJ Khaled did his thing with the sample.. which leads me to my next song.

Sanata – “Maria Maria”

The O.G Wild Thoughts !! Santana goes crazy with the latin pop/r&b rhythm, The beat is ridiculous on this one. Dope track produced by Wyclef Jean.

Mase – “Welcome Back”

The ultimate feel good song. The first single off one of my favourite albums “Welcome Back” by Mase,  his flow & energy is super smooth! and he brought in the female vocals & the kids!

Drake – “4PM in Calabasas”

Starts with “All you self promoters are Janky, We established like the Yankees” and ends with Diddy “And We Can’t Stop!” Drake goes crazy from start to finish.

Jay Z – “I Just Wanna Love U (Give it 2 Me) (ft Pharrell)”

The base on this song with the energy of Jay Z & Pharrell.. this was a bop!

Big Pun – “Still not a player”

I don’t wanna be a player no more, I’m not a player – I just crush a lot! RIP BIG PUN.

The Notorious B.I.G – “Hypnotize”

Produced By P. Diddy – uh, uh, sicker than your average.. B.I.G comes in hot, the beat and bars go hand in hand and the female vocals.. damn.

Jay Z – “Hard Knock Life”

An instant classic, growing up in the 90’s – Combination of a catchy hook/chorus with a Hard hitting Jay Z flow.
