Exclusive: Stream Jérémie & The Delicious Hounds’ New Curated Spotify Playlist

By: Staff –

To celebrate the release of Jérémie & The Delicious Hounds’ new single “Stuck in Quarantine (feat. Cityreal & Roman Clarke)”, the emerging Winnipeg-based new-age funk/blues/soul band curated a brand new curated Spotify playlist, which you can stream below.

Charles Bradley – “The World (Is Going Up in Flames)”

I saw this man and ‘His Extraordinaires’ perform at the Winnipeg Folk Festival in 2012, and it literally changed my life. It was from that moment on that I knew I wanted to be in a soul/funk band. I had never witnessed so much raw emotion and gratitude on a stage, I was in tears and awe by the end of the set.

Menahan Street Band – “The Traitor”

Amy Winehouse and Charles Bradley’s original backing band. The Menahan have some of the best instrumentals out there. Kid Cudi sampled this track for his song “Solo Dolo”.

Funkadelic – “Hit It and Quit It”

Just a jam that I love!

Sly and The Family Stone – “Underdog”

Been listening to a lot of Sly my whole life. Love the opening horn line in this song. It’s the main riff in the song “Frère Jacques” which I used to sing as a child. He just made the rest of the song a whole lot funkier!

Stevie Wonder – “I Was Made To Love Her”

A few of my close cousins are musicians as well, there was always some Stevie on at their house. He’s always been a big inspiration for me.

Monophonics – “Lying Eyes”

My band and I wish we could sound like the old soul records that we love. These guys kill it at doing that!

Cityreal – “See You in the Morning”

Love this tune and this guy. We grew up in the same neighborhood. I had been wanting to make music with Cityreal for many many years and we finally connected on this new track “Stuck in Quarantine”. Watch out for him, he’s got incredible music coming!!

Roman Clarke – “GOOD PERSON”

This guy can do it all. Sing, write, play almost every instrument. One of our collaborators on “Stuck in Quarantine”. Roman is just a pure talented musician and human. Was such a pleasure to work on this track together. Here’s his latest creation.

Iam – “Petit frère

French is my first language and I’ve always loved hip hop. This is a group I’ve been listening to since my youth. “L’école du Micro d’Argent”, I wore that CD out!

Son Little – “O Me O My”

Like Charles Bradley, I saw Son Little a few years back at the Winnipeg Folk Festival. Been a HUGE fan ever since. He’s one of those artists that I literally like every song he creates. He came back to Winnipeg for another music festival my band and I played at in 2020 (Festival du Voyageur), we ended up meeting and jamming together at an afterparty.
