A recent addition to the Shaky Knees lineup, legendary rock group, Foo Fighters are set to headline the festival Friday night. Having released their highly-anticipated tenth studio album Medicine at Midnight earlier this year, and awaiting their induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame alongside The Go-Go’s, Jay-Z, Carole King, Todd Rundgren, and Tina Turner this October, there is no better time to see the 12-time Grammy winners rock out to some of their classic hits and brand-new jams.

White Reaper

Deriving their name from a Grim Reaper prop spotted in a Halloween Express, Louisville, Kentucky quintet White Reaper aren’t afraid to pack a punch with their bouncy garage rock tunes while proving that letting loose and having fun are essential elements in making great music.

Comprised of Tony Esposito (guitar/vocals), Ryan Hater (keyboards), Hunter Thompson (guitar), and identical twins Sam and Nick Wilkerson (bass and drums respectively), the band has made a splash not only supporting some of their personal idols such as The Killers and Weezer, but making appearances at festivals across the U.S.

Phoebe Bridgers

Also one to embrace her spooky side, Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Phoebe Bridgers (and her signature skeleton onesie) will be making an appearance on the Piedmont Stage at Shaky Knees Sunday evening.

Having begun to play guitar and write her own songs at only 11 years of age, Bridgers exploded onto the scene in 2015 and has since amassed over 5 million monthly listeners on Spotify alone, collaborated with artists like Julien Baker and Fiona Apple, and earned four Grammy nominations, all with only two studio albums under her belt.

Portugal. The Man

If you’re a fan of music or pop culture in general, there’s almost no way you haven’t come across Portugal. The Man’s smash hit ‘Feel It Still’ at least once in your lifetime.

The band’s biggest single to date, the success of this catchy tune catapulted the Alaskan-born band to global stardom, reaching Top 10 chart position in 18 different countries, resulting in a 2018 Grammy win for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance and Alternative Rock Song of the Year at the 2018 iHeartRadio Music Awards, and even making its way into commercials ranging from Apple and Cadillac ads to the motivating beat in a Vitamin Water campaign. Now a staple in any Portugal. The Man set, who wouldn’t want to hear this anthem blasted at full volume from the main stage? We know we do!

The Aces

Hailing from Provo, Utah, best friends and bandmates Cristal Ramirez (vocals/guitar), Alisa Ramirez (drums), McKenna Petty (bass), and Katie Henderson (lead guitar/vocals), have known one another and shared a love of music since their elementary school days.

Growing up playing gigs in their hometown before signing with Red Bull Records in 2016, The Aces have cultivated a dedicated following within the indie-pop world and aren’t planning on slowing down anytime soon.

Make sure to catch The Aces at Shaky Knees 2021!
