Exclusive Premiere: Watch AP Tobler’s New Video for “Blunt Force”

By: Staff –

Emerging grunge/alt-rock singer-songwriter AP Tobler is back with a new video for “Blunt Force”, which you can watch exclusively via Aesthetic Magazine below.

Tobler sings with fire and passion on “Blunt Force” which is showcased prominently in the video. So much energy pours out of their vocals it is an incredible thing to experience. The rest of the track seemingly orbits around Tobler and the video itself. Each note hits with a physicality.

Perfectly sculpted and shaped  the song has a vibrancy to it as the video brings it to a whole new level. Volume is a given for everything and the work harkens back to a sheer force of nature. One of the best elements of this intensity comes from the production values which deftly highlight the sheer strength of their delivery. This, paired with storytelling of their lyricism itself, makes the track so very inviting.

From the very first moment their voice soars above the rest of the sound. Tobler’s style feels drenched in sunshine for there is a giddiness, a hope that leads the song along.  By putting the constantly evolving rhythm alongside the undeniably commanding presence of their voice, the song appears to touch the virtual soul. Done with such dignity and care, Tobler ensures that the track and video have a degree of strength about them, one intended to inspire. As the song progresses, it does inspire with an atmosphere completely blissed-out with beauty. “Blunt Force” shows off the exquisite detail of Tobler in crafting a unique sonic universe; one which feels so satisfying.

Annapurna “AP” Tobler is a multi-instrumentalist musician, singer, and songwriter based in San Jose, CA. Often described as a “grunge poet,” AP writes music with heavy riffs and complex themes, holding mental health topics as vital influences in their songwriting. AP aims to share their experiences with anxiety and depression by crafting songs rooted in grunge and alternative rock, with hopes that these thematic elements will speak to listeners who are going through similar experiences.
