Canadian Indie-Folk musician Braden Lam is back with his latest single “Silence”, which serves as his first ever collaboration with up-and-coming Indigenous rapper Wolf Castle. Their brand new track is incredibly creative and focuses on social consciousness and the privilege of staying quiet. Stream it exclusively via Aesthetic Magazine below.
The track was produced by Colin Buchanan (Paper Lions, Sorrey) who also performs the bass and synth tracks, and was recorded at The Hill Sound Studio in Charlottetown, PEI.
Lam is a celebrated musical artist and storyteller known for his impactful messages and stirring melodies. The Halifax-based artist received a 2021 Rising Star Recording of The Year nomination from the ECMA’s last year, and received a SOCAN Foundation Award for Young Canadian Songwriters in 2018. He was also a nominee for a Music NS Folk Recording of the Year Award in 2019. Known for his comforting and relatable lyrics, Lam’s music has drawn comparisons to Bon Iver, Phoebe Bridgers, and Maggie Rogers.
