Ottawa Bluesfest 2026 continued on July 18th at Lebreton Flats in Ottawa, ON., and featured performances by reggae artist Shaggy, who released his newest album, Lottery, in May 2026 via VP Music Group and Ranch Entertainment, which features collaborations with artists including Jeremih, Robin Thicke, Dexta Daps, Sting, and Anthony Hamilton, hip-hop artist Mariah The Scientist, and more!
After a ‘soggy’ start to Saturday’s Ottawa Bluesfest, Shaggy took to the RBC Stage to the joy of his loyal fans who went bananas (July 18th), with his legendary swagger and high energy stage presence.
Riding the massive success of his viral hit, “Banana” with fellow Jamaican artist, Conkarah, garnering over 2 billion streams and spawning 50+ million Tik Tok videos with over 5 billion video views for the #bananadrop challenge!
At the top of 2021, Shaggy was featured in a Cheetos commercial during Super Bowl LV alongside Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher; the spot was one of the highest-rated ads in Superbowl history.

Mariah the Scientist, to the screams of her adoring fans, took to the Hard Rock & Casino Stage, at the Ottawa Bluesfest (July 18th)
Mariah the Scientist is an American R&B singer and songwriter from Atlanta, Georgia. Known for her signature blend of futuristic, hazy production and vulnerable romantic storytelling, she gained initial traction with her 2018 EP To Die For.
The unique stage name stems from her time studying biology on a scholarship at St. John’s University in New York. She originally planned to pursue a career as a pediatric anesthesiologist. However, she ultimately chose to drop out of university to pursue her music career full-time. A decision her many fans are glad she made.

Here Come the Mummies, an eight-piece funk-rock band of 5000-year-old Egyptian Mummies to the LeBreton Stage at Ottawa Bluesfest 2026.
Here Come the Mummies, were dug up in Nashville, Tennessee, members perform as “5,000-year-old Egyptian mummies”. Famous for their high-energy, tongue-in-cheek music, the anonymous band is heavily rumored to consist of major-label session musicians hiding behind costumes and pseudonyms.
