The Summer Slaughter Tour, which was founded in 2001 and has visited Canada since 2008, once again invaded Toronto’s Sound Academy last night with headliner, New Jersey-based mathcore quintet The Dillinger Escape Plan, along with Washington D.C.-based instrumental progressive metal trio Animals as Leaders, Maryland-based progressive metal sextet Periphery, San Diego-based deathgrind quartet Cattle Decapitation, Berlin-based post-metal quartet The Ocean, Australian deathcore quartet Thy Art Is Murder, deathcore quartet Rings of Saturn, Swedish death metal quintet Aeon, thrash metal quartet Revocation, and Georgia-based metalcore quintet Norma Jean.
