Foo Fighters.
Foo Fighters aren’t breaking up. The bad news is that their new frontman is 98 Degrees member and reality TV star Nick Lachey.
In a new video posted to YouTube titled “Official Band Announcement”, the Grammy Award-winning band trolled the world with frontman Dave Grohl deciding to go solo by becoming an EDM musician. Meanwhile, the rest of the band mulled over who should take over as lead singer, with Justin Bieber, Scott Stapp, Billy Corgan, Phil Collins, Chris Cornell, Eddie Vedder, and Prince being considered for the position. However, it’s Nick Lachey who is chosen to sing the band’s 1997 hit “Everlong”, which doesn’t sound that bad. Watch the video below.
While drummer Taylor Hawkins was quoted as saying Foo Fighters are going on an indefinite hiatus during an interview he gave to Artisan News on January 16th, it remains to be seen whether that is for real or whether it was part of the joke.
