The National Announce New Album ‘Sleep Well Beast’

The National - Sleep Well Beast

The National have announced details for their highly anticipated seventh album, Sleep Well Beast, which is set for release on September 8th via 4AD. The album, which marks the band’s first album since 2013’s Trouble Will Find Me, will feature the new song “The System Only Dreams in Total Darkness”, which you can stream below.

The National’s Aaron Dessner produced Sleep Well Beast with co-production from the band’s Bryce Dessner and Matt Berlinger at Aaron Dessner’s Long Pond studio in Hudson Valley, New York. Check out the full tracklist below.

The band has also announced a world tour in support of the album, kicking off in Cork, Ireland on September 16th. The ticket pre-order begins Monday, May 15th with public on-sale beginning Friday, May 19th. Every ticket in North America includes a digital copy of Sleep Well Beast delivered on September 8th. UK and European customers pre-ordering Sleep Well Beast (via specific retailers) before 10am BST on Sunday May 14th will receive an exclusive early access code for Monday’s tour pre-sale. See the full list of dates below.
