Last night (Sept. 10th), Artists for Peace and Justice hosted their annual Festival Gala at the Art Gallery of Ontario in Toronto during the 2017 Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). The gala celebrated and awarded leading cultural icons for their lifetime of service while raising vital funds for APJ’s ongoing community development work in Haiti.

Co-chaired by Natasha Koifman and Suzanne Boyd, the event was co-hosted by an influential team including APJ Founder Paul Haggis, alongside Ben Stiller, Cuba Gooding Jr., Javier Bardem, Morgan Spurlock, Shantelle and Yannick Bisson, George Stromboulopoulos and more.

This year’s Peace and Justice Activism Award recipient was Jackson Browne, which celebrated his lifetime of activism and commitment to peace and social justice both in Haiti and around the world.
