Boston-based indie rock band Ghosts & Shadows are back with their new single “Full of Stars”, which you can stream exclusively via Aesthetic Magazine below.
“Full of Stars was written by Dean Fisher. We like it,” said the band. “It’s got a box beat and a sort of garage band riff, and then Paul added a new wave lead guitar. It’s the first time we tried using some non-English words – it’s just a couple of Spanish words but it has a cool effect. We have a lot of references to popular science fiction movies in many of our songs – but you wouldn’t notice it unless you were listening for it. In “Full of Stars”, it’s “2001: A Space Odyssey”. That’s Dean doing the background vocals behind Gabriella’s lead. We had a lot of fun recording it, especially the end part where Dean’s character loses his mind.”
Ghosts & Shadows have become a staple in the Boston indie rock scene. The band who has been creating waves in a major way, unveil their new release “Full of Stars”, out this week. Their epic sound is reminiscent of artists such as My Bloody Valentine, with elements of indie and shoegaze alike. With elements of classic indie and hazy dreams, the groups brings to life an epic sound that will have you craving more.
