Emerging indie band Moonlight Social is back with their new single “Oh, Mary Beth”, which you can stream exclusively via Aesthetic Magazine below.
“When we first moved to Nashville, we had the opportunity to attend a tribute to Guy Clark and it had a profound impact on us,” said the group. “Oh, Mary Beth” is our own tribute to him in a way. It’s a true story about first love, but wrapped up in and inspired by that same sense of beautiful melancholy that graced so much of Clark’s work.”
The Texas-born, Nashville raised duo is formed by Jeremy Burchard and Jennica Scott, longtime best friends who met as members of The University of Texas Longhorn Band (Burchard as a member of the drum line, Scott as a trumpet player). The duo cut their teeth on the road, playing hundreds of shows out of their home base of Austin, Texas, and in 2016 they relocated to Nashville, Tennessee.
Bringing a thematic, energetic live show, the band has played hundreds of shows across dozens of states and continues to release catchy, thoughtful, genre-bending music.
“Oh, Mary Beth,” shows the true labor of love from the duo, that has our ears coming back for more.
