Exclusive: Stream Devin Kirtz’s New Curated Spotify Playlist

By: Staff –

To celebrate Devin Kirtz’s latest song, “Hennessy,” featuring Sean “Diddy” Combs’ son, Quincy, the emerging soul/pop music artist curated a brand new curated Spotify playlist that you can stream below.

1. Devin Kirtz – “Best Friends”

I wrote my newest single, “Best Friends” in Mexico, where my wife was born and raised, and it’s a love song that is not about her at all! Sorry! For the first time ever, I wrote a love song to myself. The day that I got back to LA from Mexico, I met up with (producers/writers) Duck Leary, Joel Adams, and Derek Fuhrmann and recorded the track at Derek’s house in the Hollywood Hills. I feel like the world needs a self-love song now more than ever. So turn it up loud, give yourself a hug, and let this song be the one good thing about 2020. Love y’all!

2. Mark Morrison –  “Return of the Mack”

C’monnn! You know I had to add this classic. This track has everything that I love — from easy fun lyrics, to an amazing melody, to an undeniable good feel that you gotta dance to!

3. Drake – “Laugh Now Cry Later”

Drake doesn’t miss. His newest single has been resonating with me like crazy. I love the vibe, the message, and especially the video. He hits every aspect that I love with this track.

4. Da Baby – “Bop”

Damn! Da Baby is taking over the world, and really caught my attention with this song. He took hip-hop to Broadway with this one, and the song, melody, and (once again) the video are undeniable to me. This song is literally and figuratively a Bop!

5. Lauryn Hill – “Doo Wop (That Thing)”

Let’s go back to a classic real quick. L Boogie is one of my favorite artists of all time, and I will never forget the first time I heard this song. From the piano in the intro, to the drop, to the lyrics, this this song is timeless.

6. Snoop Dogg – “Que Maldicion”

As a Spanish speaker from the LBC, hearing one of my heroes, Snoop Dogg, come through with a Spanish track like this is everything I look for in a song! He came through with a classic Mexican mariachi feel mixed with a classic LBC Snoop feel! Fiiiire.

7. Devin Kirtz – “MOVE”

Look I know this is pretty narcissistic, but I am in love with this song. It’s one of my babies. From the melody, to the feel, to the video, I think this song is timeless. Let’s goooo!!

8. Luther Vandross – “Never Too Much”

I’m taking it wayyy back with this one! Luther is the absolute truth with all his tracks, but this one really hits home. I remember listening to this song with my family and dancing as a kid. You cannot listen to this track without smiling, dancing, and vibing!

9. Pink Sweat$ – “Honesty”

Look out world, Pink Sweat$ is about to take over the music world! His style is too dope. The first time I heard “Honesty,” it felt like a breath of fresh air. I love the smooth simplicity. Less is more!

10. Giveon – “The Beach”

This is another LBC artist that’s about to take over the music scene! This specific track resonates with me on a different level. His style to his sound is too dope. The line, “your mama warned you bout 562, to tell you the truth she ain’t lyin to you” is too crazy. Shout out to the LBC music scene stayin’ on and takin’ over!

11. Bllaine – “Fall Down” (remix) (feat. Cam Meekins & Jinluv)

My brother from the Bay Area! This song goes crazy! You get everything you’re looking for with this one for real. Bllaine’s got the formula, and this song is a feel good vibe that makes you wanna drive with the windows down! Go Follow @Bllaine everywhere for the fire.
