Stream Manchester Orchestra’s New Single “No Rule”

By: Staff –

Manchester Orchestra have released their dynamic and urgent new single “No Rule,” an undulating and layered anthem that twists, turns, and blooms across its 5:20 runtime.

Initially begun during the recording sessions of their 2021 album The Million Masks of God, “No Rule” was produced by Manchester Orchestra’s lead songwriting duo of Andy Hull and Robert McDowell, together with Catherine Marks (PJ Harvey, The Killers) and Ethan Gruska (Phoebe Bridgers).

Hull explains: “We are very proud to release our new song ‘No Rule’ into the world. Written and worked on during the Million Masks sessions, this brave soul took a little longer to cook than the rest. We hope you enjoy. All Love. M.O.”

Following a packed summer tour that saw them play across various festivals—including Lollapalooza, Firefly, Austin City Limits, When We Were Young, and more—the band of Hull, McDowell, Tim Very, and Andy Prince will play a week of fall headlining shows leading up to their 12th annual hometown festival ‘The Stuffing’ at Atlanta’s Fox Theatre on November 18th.

The Thanksgiving concert will feature additional performances by Julien Baker, Lunar Vacation, Joy Oladokun, Petey, and Leah, and the band has also partnered with local Atlanta non-profit Umi Feeds for the event. Umi Feeds is helping those in need by collecting healthy canned and other non-perishable food items to support the Umi Feeds Food Pantry, which directly benefits Atlanta’s Sylvan Middle School. Requested items can be dropped off at the Fox Theatre during the Nov. 18 concert; a full list of recommended donation items is available on the Fox Theatre’s event page at foxtheatre.org/thestuffing.
