The 2016 Indies took place last night at The Phoenix Concert Theatre in Toronto last night during CMW 2016, which featured performances by Halifax-based alt rock/indie rock band Wintersleep, who released their new album, The Great Detachment, on March 4th, 2016 via Dine Alone Records, JUNO Award nominated Toronto-based alt country six-piece The Strumbellas, who released their third album, Hope, on April 22nd, 2016, indie rock band Alberta Cross, and Vancouver-based indie rock band The Zolas, who released their third album, Swooner, on March 4th, 2016.
