Year in Review: The Best Concert Photos of 2017

Harrison Haines

Artist: Foxygen
Venue: The Opera House
City: Toronto
Date: March 28
Photographer: Katrina Lat

If you know Foxygen, then you know this set would be fire! Always making those classic rock and roll sounding hits. This photo perfectly captures the old school vibe with the gold and silver glossy smoke around Johnathan Rado.

Artist: Tory Lanez
Venue: Coachella
Date: April 15
Photographer: Julien Bajsel

To me this photo looks like the inside of a UFO, full of abducted humans. Tory Lanez is taking control of the situation, commanding the crowd to do whatever he wants. It’s just such a cool photo, you can imagine so many different stories to it.

Artist: Imagine Dragons
Venue: Rogers Arena
City: Vancouver
Date: Oct. 8
Photographer: Issac Wray

I find this to be a very peaceful and humbling photo of Dan Reynolds, lead singer of Imagine Dragons. He is bowing to the crowd, like he is thanking them and in appreciation of how he got to where he is.

Artist: Erykah Badu
Venue: Meadows Music Festival
City: New York City
Date: Sept. 16
Photographer: Alex Bear

This photo of Erykah Badu has so much energy. You can almost hear the beautiful soulful sounds she is whaling out. She is known for always wearing something crazy. During the Meadows Music Festival she did not disappoint with the Pharrell-inspired hat.

Artist: Kendrick Lamar
Venue: Coachella
Date: April 14
Photographer: Greg Noir

Kendrick Lamar is probably one of the biggest names in music right now. To capture a shot with him just vibing out, at this time in his career, is just historic.
